| My life is complete. Wanna know why? Because of this amazing little buddy over here. Kern's Mango Juice. BEST JUICE EVERRR. I have so memories of him from when I lived in Los Angeles and Denver.. I used to drink it all the time, was obsessed with it. Words can't describe how sad I was when I moved to Chicago and couldn't find him anywhere. Ho Ho! But not anymore! After soccer practice, whle I was waititng at the Western Brown Line station for a bus, I felt really thirsty, so I walked over the to Walgreens a block away. I was browsing the drinks when suddenly, a golden light shined out of nowhere...right on a can of Kern's Mango Juice. I kind you not, I gasped, jumped up and happiness, instantly grabbed a can and hugged it. I asked a random really nice lady (thanks!) for the 10 cents I was lacking, and bought the little buddy. | | |

(psst, what a cool pic, no? )
1 month, 32 teams, and 64 games later, the 2006 World Cup is over. But what a time it was.
The players, the fans, the passion. It brought everyone
together. They've all inspired me to do my best when I play. Hands down
one of the best months of my life. Much thanks to all you guys for
being apart of it as well. Made it all the more fun, no?
sure, things didn't turn out the way I wanted them to. I'm not bitter though. Allez Les Bleus all the way, I'm a France fan forever. congrats to Italy, nonetheless.
Au revoir to this amazing man:
I could go on and on about the incident (Materazzi, you = public enemy
#1, you hear me?), but the fact is, putting that aside, with his grace, his flair, his leadership...Zizou is one
the greatest footballers of all time. Really sad that that was his last
game, but at the same time, it was really awesome to be apart of his
last cup.
Thanks again....and see you in 4 years
chill and take it easy, all~
PS. On an utterly completely unrelated note...I got a 5 on my AP World Exam....whuuuut.

| Semifinals. Done.
This week has been absolutely wacky
for me. I was utterly depressed on Tuesday since my beloved Germany
lost to Italy (grrr. Not an Italian fan at all, but props to them in
any case..2 goals at the end were pretty impressive.) I was crying and
everything.

The awesome Michael Ballack chattin' it up with coach Jurgen Klinsmann.
24 hours later...
Freaking jumping and
celebrating and going crazy at France's defeat of Portugal. Allez Les
Bleus, whuuut!! Zizou = my hero! (ha, rhymes!) Henry, Ribery,
Makelele...the team was completely solid all around.
The ever so graceful Zidane in center.
Portugal's goalie, Ricardo.
mad props to him, he's flipping
excellent. In the final minutes, he was playing UP TOP. He's a mind
reader, I've never seen him choose wrong during a PK/free kick.
So now, this
weekend...the final 2 games of the cup. Tomorrow is the 3rd
place match between Germany (whuuut) and Portugal. Sunday...The
CHAMPIONSHIP between France (yusss..Allez Les Bleus!) and Italy.
It's amazing how far we've come. I can't believe 62 games have been
played. Seems like the group stage with all those hopeful 32 teams was
just yesterday. In just over 48 hours, the cup will end, until 4 years
later in South Africa (awesomeness). The last month has honestly been
one of the most amazing in my life. This weekend's games are going to
be excellent, no doubt. So I ask you...
Ain't football a beautiful thing?

| - Guns are Drawn
Netherlands vs Portugal.
OMFG.
CRAZIEST, most RIDICULOUS game I have ever seen in...forget the World
Cup...MY LIFE. It was utterly pure chaos. Players, Coaches, the
Ref...Everyone lost their minds. The first half was pretty sane, with
Maniche of Portugal scoring the only goal. The second half was a joke,
fights were sparked every couple minutes. It wasn't a football game
anymore.
Check it.
4 Red Cards given out
16...I repeat, 16 Yellow Cards
That's right...20 total cards throughout this match.
Both set a new record in cards given out during a world cup match.
As The Univision commentators said..."Welcome to the Jungle!" haha!
Yes indeed. Loved the shot of the 4
ejected players from both teams sitting next to each other on the side, talking, it was so cute.
Especially since two of them are Barcelona teammates. Shows that
no matter whether in friendship or rivalry, the world cup brings
everyone together. Probably talking
about what the referee was on, no doubt
World Cup...how I love thee.
EDIT: I just remembered this now. On
Monday, while I spending a very fun-filled day at Hadieh's house, we
were watching the Australia vs Italy game on ESPN. Some player just got
injured and is on the floor, and some other player gets a yellow card
for it (Forgive me for not remembering the details)...Out of
NOWHERE...one of the commentators asks his partner.."Would you give me
a yellow card if I stuck my left foot in your groin?". I kid you not.
Hahaha, whuuut? Me and Hadieh gave each other the most WTF looks ever.
gooooood times. ESPN/ABC commenators, I tell ya...
